Aquaz Alkalinity Premium™

Alkalinity Premium™ is an optimized blend of carbonates and bicarbonates specifically designed to restore and maintain the carbonate alkalinity of a reef aquarium. The maintenance of alkalinity or buffering capacity also known as dKh is key to coral growth and the long term success of the reef aquaria.

Alkalinity Premium™ is useful in aquariums that already have high calcium levels as it will only raise its alkalinity and does not supply calcium. Once the balance has been restored we recommend the usage of Kalkwasser Premium™ for maintaining calcium and alkalinity levels.

Directions of use :
Dissolve 1 teaspoon of Alkalinity Premium™ in 1 cup of freshwater and drip the solution in a high flow area of the aquarium every alternate day until the desired alkalinity level is achieved. Monitor the alkalinity levels weekly to determine the uptake and adjust it's dosage accordingly.

If used correctly, Alkalinity Premium™ will not cause any significant ionic imbalance to the aquarium water chemistry. Ideal pH of 8.2 - 8.4, Calcium of 420 ppm and Alkalinity of 3.5 - 4.5 meq/L should be maintained.

Never add directly into the tank water. Do not mix Alkalinity Premium™ with any buffer, and dose separately with other additives. Keep container tightly closed when not in used to avoid reaction with the atmosphere, causing precipitation.

Precautions :
Use gloves if possible and always mix outside the tank. Avoid contact and inhalation of particles. In the case of eye or skin contact, rinse under running water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
