Aquaz Purephos Premium™

Purephos Premium™ is an ideal medium for selectively extracting organics, toxic metals, phosphates, silicates and color impurities from fresh and saltwater aquarium, helping to control nuisance algae growth which proliferates with phosphate levels over 1 - 2 ppm.

Purephos Premium™ is formulated from an active iron oxide based product which contains no aluminium. Ideal for fresh and saltwater use, phosphate is irreversibly bonded to the medium and is exported from the aquarium when the media is replaced. Purephos Premium™ will progressively reduce and maintain phosphate concentration at very low levels for a considerable time.

In its coarse form, Purephos Premium™ will provide greater surface area for better hydrodynamic flow, maximizing the contact time between the media and water, thus optimizing the water purification process.

Directions of use :
Before administration, rinse Purephos Premium™ thoroughly under running tap water and place the desired amount in either a polyester bag or nylon bag and position it at high water flow area for maximum effect or use a media reactor. As a general rule of thumb, 500 mL of Purephos Premium™ treats a moderately populated 1500 Liters - 2000 Liters (395 gallons) aquarium.

When used for the first time, the aquarium may turn slighty cloudy due to the small particles in the media. But that is harmless and will clear over a few hours. Change media when a rise of phosphate is detected in the aquarium.

Aquaz recommends constant monitoring of phosphate levels and replace the media when a rise in phosphate level is detected in the water. Purephos Premium™ should be used in aquariums with high levels of phosphate.


Precautions :
Use gloves if possible and always mix outside the tank. Avoid contact and inhalation of particles. In the case of eye or skin contact, rinse under running water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
